About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support product development tools by ensuring seamless installation, deployment, and migration for mainframe environments.
  • Deliver comprehensive technical training sessions and prepare large-scale presentation materials for customers and internal teams.
  • Interface directly with customers to understand requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
  • Administer DB2, CICS, and IMS environments as part of deployment and system programming activities.
  • Manage complex migration processes, including the conversion and integration of IBM and ISV tools.
  • Develop and modify REXX scripts to support automation and migration requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of z/OS architecture and operations.
  • 5+ years of experience working with IBM PD tools and associated components.
  • Proficiency in ISPF and IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz).
  • Strong programming skills in COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, and C/C++.
  • Hands-on experience with CICS, DB2, and IMS application programming and administration.
  • Intermediate to advanced REXX programming skills for automation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client engagement and training delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with migration tools such as IBM File Manager, FastRexx, BMC FileAid, CA Broadcom File Master, CA Broadcom PDSMAN, or Macro4 InSync.
