PCS Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support customer co-design activities, field trials, and product evaluations
• Complete on-site investigations of technical and product issues raised by customers
• Act as the primary means of field remediation to resolve technical and quality issues at customer sites
• Support sales demonstrations and presentations at customer sites and trade shows
• Perform training, troubleshooting, and field support to ensure successful product adoption
• Conduct product evaluations on both Corning and competitor products to support design-in decisions
• Provide technical recommendations and feedback to Sales, Product Line Management, and Manufacturing
• Travel to manufacturing facilities as needed to support cross-functional issue resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in optical fibers and connectivity
• Strong customer interaction skills with the ability to comprehend needs and convey value at a technical level
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Effective communication skills to interface with all levels of internal and external personnel

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical writing ability with an emphasis on presenting detailed concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Prior knowledge of Corning Optical Communications products
