About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and document standardized automation modules for PCS 7 and PCS neo based on technological functional units
- Ensure technical and GMP-compliant functionality of modules through simulation, FAT, and SAT
- Define and maintain module libraries, programming standards, naming conventions, and structural guidelines
- Manage change control for automation modules, including impact analyses and GMP documentation
- Support integration with Historian (Aveva PI) and MES systems (PAS-X)
- Participate in qualification and validation processes, including functional specifications and risk analyses
- Provide technical support for commissioning and troubleshooting during live operations
- Contribute to the migration of modules from PCS 7 to PCS neo
Requirements
- Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Extensive experience in PCS 7 programming, ideally with a focus on modular concepts or Advanced Process Control
- Proficiency with PCS 7 CFC/SFC, SCL, module components, and custom libraries
- Experience with GMP requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, including GAMP 5, data integrity, and change control
- Understanding of Historian and MES integration requirements and batch processes (ISA-88 compliant)
- Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken)
- Structured, quality-oriented working style and strong teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial experience with PCS neo or a strong willingness to undergo training
- Experience in large-scale site development or greenfield projects
