PCBA Rework Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform rework, repairs, and modifications on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) by hand or at a rework station.
• Identify and replace damaged or faulty electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, connectors, and sockets.
• Utilize advanced de-soldering and soldering techniques to repair etches, pads, and vias.
• Remove and replace BGAs using solder wick and epoxy.
• Add wires to specific locations following engineering change orders (ECO), wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Ensure all reworked and modified products meet strict quality standards and maintain ESD integrity.
• Work from schematics, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions to modify assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Must possess IPC 7711/7721, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001 certifications.
• 5+ years of electronics assembly and PCB soldering experience in rework and inspection environments.
• Proven expertise in advanced de-soldering, soldering, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and test procedures.
• Knowledge of component value identification and nomenclature.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
• US Person status (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum) for ITAR compliance.
• Experience working in high-volume production environments.
