PCBA & Electronics Rework Technician

Responsibilities

• Build, wire, and assemble electrical panels, control cabinets, and automation equipment
• Build, modify, and repair cable assemblies and wire harnesses
• Assemble, solder, rework, and inspect PCBAs in accordance with IPC standards
• Perform electrical system bring-up, testing, and validation
• Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical issues and assist with root cause analysis
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
• Collaborate with engineering teams on design quality and manufacturability

Requirements

• Technical degree, certification, or equivalent experience in Electrical Technology or Mechatronics
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in industrial, automation, robotics, or manufacturing environments
• IPC certification for PCBAs (IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC-7711/7721)
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or demonstrated experience with wire harness assemblies
• Proficiency in hand soldering and rework of through-hole and surface-mount components
• Experience wiring control panels and industrial equipment
• Proficiency with electrical lab tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

• Current IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Class 2 or Class 3) certifications
• Experience with ESD control programs
• Experience with mechanical systems or automotive/motorcycle work
• Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or high-mix manufacturing environment
