About the role
Responsibilities
- Independently complete the layout and routing of multi-layer boards, including control boards (high-speed digital/analog), power supply boards, and high-power boards (high voltage/high current).
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define detailed PCB layout and routing constraint rules.
- Optimize power loop design to minimize parasitic inductance and loop area in high-voltage and high-current paths.
- Implement EMC and safety designs by ensuring proper creepage and clearance distances and optimizing ground planes and shielding.
- Design effective thermal dissipation paths for power devices using thermal pads, via arrays, and heat sink interfaces.
- Generate all necessary production files, including Gerber, drill files, assembly drawings, and solder paste stencil files.
- Maintain and create accurate component footprint libraries.
- Support SI/PI and thermal simulation engineers during design verification and assist in resolving technical issues during prototyping and mass production.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in high-speed, high-density, or high-power PCB layout design.
- Proficiency in Cadence Allegro or other mainstream EDA design tools.
- Deep understanding of PCB manufacturing processes (lamination, hole plating, surface finishes) and SMT assembly processes.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and solid fundamental circuit knowledge.
- Ability to independently solve SI, PI, EMC, and thermal design issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with power electronics products such as PV inverters, energy storage converters, UPS, servo drives, or high-power supplies.
- Familiarity with common safety standards for power electronics (e.g., UL 60950-1, UL 1741).
- Proven experience managing the complete lifecycle of PCB design projects.
