PCB Designer II

Responsibilities

• Design Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), PCB arrays, and solder stencils using CAD software
• Convert CAD drawings into Gerber files for suppliers or in-house prototyping
• Design LTCC (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic) from engineering mark-ups or schematic diagrams
• Create and manage Item Numbers, Bills of Materials (BOM), and release documentation into PLM systems
• Provide design input to Mechanical and Electrical Engineers regarding enclosures and circuit simulation
• Maintain Schematic and PCB component libraries and project libraries using EDM systems
• Prepare programs for Pick and Place (P&P) assembly machines
• Communicate with manufacturers to resolve documentation issues and review engineering queries

Requirements

• BSEE or BSME degree (or equivalent experience/certification in PCB design)
• 3-5 years of experience in PCB design or 2 years specializing in electronic assembly drawings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or DraftSight
• Demonstrated experience with modern CAD/CAM design tools
• Knowledge of PLM systems (experience with Arena is a plus)
• Strong English oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
