PCB Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design high-density PCBs, flexes, and rigid flexes using stacked microvias and sequential lamination stack-ups
• Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers from prototype through mass production
• Create fabrication and assembly drawings and define design rules within the constraint manager
• Collaborate with suppliers on stackups and engineering issue resolution
• Review Gerber/ODB++ data to ensure high-quality design releases
• Manage external ECAD resources and drive development of complex designs to meet program deadlines

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in PCB Layout CAD designing high-density, highly constrained HDI boards
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in Cadence Allegro PCB Designer
• Experience with fine pitch (<0.5mm) BGAs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing consumer electronic devices at production scale
• Strong skills in designing multi-layer designs with analog, RF, high-speed, or power circuits
• Demonstrated understanding of IPC, DFM, DFA, and DFT
• Knowledge of PCB design standards for interfaces such as USB, PCIE, CSI, MIPI, and WIFI
• Experience with Flex & Rigid Flex designs and tools like ORCAD Capture, CAM350, or Valor toolsets
