PCB Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design complex PCBs/FPCs integrating analog, digital, RF, camera, display, audio, sensors, and power charging components for wearables
• Improve and optimize PCB/FPC design processes with hardware and PCB teams
• Manage engagements with vendors and internal teams concerning placement, routing, DFM, and Gerber reviews
• Develop and oversee comprehensive PCB documentation including Gerber, ODB, BoM, and related drawings
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to release fab and assembly packages into the PLM system
• Work with ECAD librarians to maintain and expand the ECAD library

Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in PCB design using Cadence Allegro PCB Designer
• Expertise in designing Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex boards, including HDI design and multilayer PCB techniques
• Proficiency in interpreting datasheets and schematics
• Familiarity with PLM systems such as Agile and understanding of IPC, JEDEC, IEEE standards
• Skilled in applying layout design constraints for mixed/RF signal, high-speed signal impedance control, and EMI optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience with PCB layout design using Cadence Allegro
• Proven expertise in managing PCB design for high-volume consumer electronics
• Experience in designing cost-effective consumer electronics with compact PCB footprints
• Knowledge of EMC compliance and environmental safety standards
