PC Equities Analyst

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial aspects of trading activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the bank's trading book.
• Reconcile daily profit and loss (P&L) figures for trading desks and resolve discrepancies to reflect true economic value.
• Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of trading risks and report findings to senior colleagues.
• Maintain and analyze trading data to provide insights into trading performance for traders and management.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and support external audits by addressing queries and ensuring accurate financial statements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Front Office, Financial Control, and Technology teams to ensure coordinated trading activities.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant.
• Proficiency with the MS Office toolkit.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with global teams in the UK and US.
• Strong control awareness, including the ability to identify and escalate potential control breakdowns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an articleship or industrial trainee in mid to large-sized firms.
• Previous audit exposure within large financial institutions or banks.
