About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the dedicated P&C Business Partner for a Director-level leadership team, providing end-to-end strategic and operational support.
- Lead annual P&C programs including year-end compensation planning, performance calibration, and merit reviews.
- Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning cycles to identify high-potential team members and build talent pipelines.
- Analyze engagement survey results and partner with leaders to implement measurable engagement action plans.
- Translate HR analytics, such as attrition and performance data, into actionable business insights.
- Coach Director-level leaders on people leadership, change management, and team effectiveness.
- Manage employee relations cases, including performance improvement plans (PIPs), workplace investigations, and accommodation requests.
- Partner with Legal and Labour Relations to manage sensitive files and ensure alignment with provincial employment law.
Requirements
- Full professional proficiency in both English and French (written and verbal).
- Minimum 3+ years in a People & Culture Business Partner or senior HR generalist role within a large, complex organization.
- Proven experience supporting Director-level leaders and coaching through complex, sensitive situations.
- Hands-on experience managing employee relations, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian provincial employment law and HR best practices.
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPHR designation.
- Experience navigating and supporting AI-driven people initiatives and emerging HR technology.
