Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end, compliant, and timely payroll processing for German legal entities.
• Ensure seamless data flow between HRIS (Workday) and CloudPay through regular monitoring and reporting.
• Coordinate with external payroll service providers and authorities to ensure compliance and clean reporting.
• Handle monthly accruals, deferrals, and balance sheet reconciliations while ensuring SOX control compliance.
• Support the continuous improvement of payroll processes and participate in change initiatives (e.g., TOP, ESPP, or RSU).
• Act as a central point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll in a service-oriented manner.

Requirements

• Proven experience in German payroll processing.
• Deep knowledge of German labor, tax, and social security laws.
• Fluency in both German and English (C1 level) for an international environment.
• Experience with modern payroll and HR systems, ideally CloudPay and Workday.
• Strong analytical skills and a high degree of numeracy.
• Experience with complex reporting and accounting topics such as accruals or journal entries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a publicly traded company (e.g., NASDAQ or S&P).
• Knowledge of processing stock programs such as RSU or ESPP within payroll.
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach to process improvement.
