Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform daily payroll operations, including wage computation and timely disbursement of compensation.
• Review and analyze payroll reports to ensure accuracy and implement corrective journal entries.
• Manage electronic timekeeping systems, reviewing timesheets, overtime, and attendance data.
• Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions.
• Prepare and issue earnings statements, manage direct deposits, and maintain accurate employee records.
• Coordinate with the Human Capital team to ensure all employee data is updated and accurate.
• Act as a resident payroll tax expert for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for senior management, audits, and year-end reporting.
• Identify and implement new payroll procedures and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in payroll processing, administration, or compensation and benefits.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, taxation, statutory deductions, and payroll compliance.
• Proficiency in HRMS/ERP applications and Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, reconciliations, and auditing.
• High attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Oracle HCM Payroll or similar large-scale ERP systems.
• Professional certifications related to payroll, finance, or HR.
• Experience working within multinational or large-scale corporate environments.
