Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a salesforce of over 30,000 employees to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.
• Review and update salary structure components and validate various payouts.
• Oversee the payroll portal for the publishing of payslips, TDS sheets, Form 16, and loan deduction slips.
• Ensure strict adherence to Indian payroll laws, statutory deductions, and remittance deadlines.
• Coordinate with payroll and audit partners to ensure timely deliverables and compliance.
• Manage investment declaration and proof collection processes.
• Resolve employee payroll tickets and investigate discrepancies.
• Develop and update SOPs, checklists, and dashboards to improve workflow automation and accuracy.
• Coordinate with vendors to track SLA adherence and manage invoice payouts.

Requirements

• Master's degree in HR, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing and payroll compliance.
• Strong understanding of Indian payroll laws and statutory deductions.
• Proficiency in MS Excel with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with piece-rate payroll processing.
