Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for approximately 500 exempt, non-exempt, craft labor, and union employees
• Manage data entry via upload and manual entry into the ADP WFN payroll system
• Gather and download information regarding hours worked, bonuses, benefit adjustments, garnishments, and commissions
• Process certified payroll reports as required by the Davis-Bacon and other related Acts
• Respond to state and federal tax notices and register for payroll tax accounts in required state and local locations
• Input and process garnishments, levies, and support orders
• Run and distribute post-processing reports and provide ad hoc custom reporting to finance and management
• Manage and resolve employee payroll inquiries via email, phone, or in person
• Collaborate with benefits, accounting, HR, and other payroll team members to ensure accuracy

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in payroll administration
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically with a moderate level of Excel skills
• Strong knowledge of Federal and State wage and overtime laws
• High attention to detail with the ability to detect potential pay errors
• Proven customer service skills and the ability to maintain a confidential work environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and interact professionally with all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience using ADP WFN
• Multi-state payroll experience
• Knowledge of union payroll, prevailing wage, and Certified payroll reporting
• Experience with SAP, SuccessFactors, and Concur
