Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage the accurate and timely execution of payrolls for designated business areas
• Ensure payroll compliance with all legislative, statutory, and internal requirements
• Act as a subject matter expert on payroll data, calculations, and employment conditions
• Provide high-quality customer service and resolve escalated payroll queries or discrepancies
• Support system configuration, testing, and continuous process improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate case management records using Salesforce Case Tracker
• Draft and deliver communications regarding payroll updates and system issues

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll, tax, superannuation, and legislation
• Experience interpreting enterprise agreements, including pay, leave, and allowances
• Proven experience using SAP HR/Payroll systems
• Advanced Excel capability, including the ability to create and run macros and ad hoc reporting
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex payroll concepts
