Payroll Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state and international employees to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Manage payroll activities including earnings, deductions, garnishments, taxes, bonuses, and commissions
• Serve as the functional owner of payroll systems and related integrations
• Ensure accurate general ledger interfaces and financial reconciliations
• Maintain strong internal controls and support internal and external audits
• Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
• Manage vendor relationships with partners such as ADP and Equifax
• Lead, coach, and develop payroll specialists and analysts
• Partner with HRIS, IT, and Finance to resolve system issues and implement enhancements

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive payroll management experience, including multi-state and international payroll tax compliance
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems such as Oracle Cloud, ADP Smart Compliance, or SAP Financials
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams and complex operations
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
