Payroll Officer

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end fortnightly payruns for a dynamic division
• Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes
• Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
• Manage leave entitlements, overtime, bonuses, and adjustments
• Handle employee queries regarding payslips, tax, superannuation, and leave balances
• Apply knowledge of Long Service Leave across multiple States and Territories
• Process Centrelink Paid Parental Leave and Workers Compensation payments
• Manage the payroll inbox and workflow efficiently using Service Now

Requirements

• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing for both blue- and white-collar employees
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
• Proficiency in CHRIS21/iCHRIS or similar payroll systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• A customer-focused approach with high attention to detail and confidentiality
