Payroll Manager

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UK payroll processing, ensuring compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, pensions (auto-enrolment), and HMRC reporting
• Manage payroll calendars, approvals, reconciliations, and year-end activities
• Support payroll activities for Australia and New Zealand, including Superannuation processing
• Operate and manage payroll processes using CloudPay
• Partner with HRIS teams to support data accuracy and payroll integrations
• Manage relationships with external payroll providers to ensure service quality
• Perform payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, and support internal audits

Requirements

• Strong experience managing UK payroll end-to-end
• Hands-on experience with CloudPay
• Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance
• Experience managing pensions in connection with payroll
• Proven experience working with external payroll vendors
• High attention to detail and strong stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Payroll experience in Australia and/or New Zealand
• Exposure to Workday
• Experience with benefit administration related to payroll
• Experience working in a regional or multi-country payroll model
• Professional payroll qualification (e.g., CIPP)
