Payroll Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and oversee end-to-end payroll processing and consulting services
• Lead a team responsible for weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll cycles
• Review payroll outputs for accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
• Support clients with statutory obligations, reporting, and legislative compliance
• Lead payroll consulting engagements and provide process improvement recommendations
• Mentor and coach junior team members

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Australian payroll processing and compliance
• Required experience in New Zealand payroll
• 10+ years of experience managing payroll operations in complex environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel skills
• Working knowledge of payroll systems such as Aurion, Chris21, or SAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a payroll outsourcing environment
• Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree
