About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients and oversee end-to-end payroll processing and consulting services
- Lead a team responsible for weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll cycles
- Review payroll outputs for accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
- Support clients with statutory obligations, reporting, and legislative compliance
- Lead payroll consulting engagements and provide process improvement recommendations
- Mentor and coach junior team members
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Australian payroll processing and compliance
- Required experience in New Zealand payroll
- 10+ years of experience managing payroll operations in complex environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel skills
- Working knowledge of payroll systems such as Aurion, Chris21, or SAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a payroll outsourcing environment
- Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree
