Payroll Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end US payroll runs in Rippling for all employee types
• Review and validate payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, and salary changes
• Oversee international payroll processing via in-country providers and EOR infrastructure
• Manage federal, state, and local employment tax returns and registrations
• Ensure accurate year-end processing including W-2 and 1099 filings
• Serve as a Rippling power user for configuration and troubleshooting
• Coordinate annual 401(k) plan audits and reconcile contribution remittances
• Drive process improvements for payroll scalability and accuracy

Requirements

• 5+ years of end-to-end payroll processing experience
• Multi-state US payroll expertise
• Demonstrated experience with Rippling payroll administration
• Hands-on experience with employment tax filings
• Strong understanding of US payroll regulations (FLSA, IRS, FICA, FUTA, SUI)
• Experience managing international third-party payroll or EOR vendors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
• Experience processing payroll in Canada, UK, or Mexico
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP/HRIS platforms
• Experience in high-growth, scaling environments
