Payroll Manager, APAC

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly end-to-end payroll processing across all APAC entities, managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely execution.
• Coordinate with Finance on payment funding, GL booking, cost center allocation, and month-end reconciliations.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle regarding pay, including off-cycle payments, bonus runs, and statutory calculations.
• Partner with the Expansion team to onboard new APAC entities onto payroll infrastructure as the company enters new markets.
• Act as the regional expert for audit and compliance, maintaining documentation standards and responding to external audit requests.
• Monitor vendor SLAs and collaborate with HR Operations to resolve service issues and ensure consistent quality.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on APAC payroll experience, with deep expertise in at least 2-3 specific APAC countries.
• Extensive knowledge of statutory compliance, local labor laws, and payroll vendor management across the APAC region.
• Proficiency with Workday HRIS.
• Experience using modern AI automation tools for data analysis, reporting, and modeling.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Proven ability to partner with Finance teams on reconciliations and GL allocations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with People Operations and Business Partners.
