Payroll Manager, APAC

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly end-to-end payroll processing across all APAC entities, managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely execution.
• Coordinate with Finance on payment funding, GL booking, cost center allocation, and month-end reconciliations.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle regarding pay, including off-cycle payments, bonus runs, and statutory calculations.
• Partner with the Expansion team to onboard new APAC entities onto payroll infrastructure as the company enters new markets.
• Act as the audit and compliance expert by responding to external audit requests and maintaining documentation standards.
• Monitor vendor SLAs and collaborate with HR Operations to resolve service issues and ensure quality across markets.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on APAC payroll experience, with deep expertise in at least 2-3 specific APAC countries.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, local labor laws, and payroll vendor management across the region.
• Experience using Workday HRIS.
• Proficiency in English.
• Hands-on experience using modern AI assistants to automate data analysis, reporting, and modeling.
• Proven ability to partner with Finance on reconciliations and audit deliverables.
