Payroll Manager and Food & Beverage Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of weekly payroll, including statutory reporting, tax remittances, and garnishments.
• Ensure strict compliance with California Wage & Hour regulations and collective agreements.
• Track vacation entitlements, accruals, and legal holiday entitlements accurately.
• Partner with operational leaders to analyze revenue, cost, labor, and product performance data.
• Utilize advanced analytical tools to develop financial models and monitor key performance indicators.
• Analyze food, beverage, labor, and procurement costs to identify opportunities for increased profitability.
• Prepare daily labor reports, overtime reports, and monthly payroll-related reconciliations.
• Translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights for executive leadership.

Requirements

• College diploma is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll system management and administration.
• Proven experience working in California and deep knowledge of California legislation.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Ceridian Dayforce or similar payroll software.
• Strong ability to work with complex financial data and basic arithmetic functions.
• Excellent administrative, interpersonal, and organizational communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education in Finance and/or a specialized Payroll program.
• Previous experience working within the hotel or hospitality industry.
