Payroll Country Owner - AU & NZ

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Australia and New Zealand payroll, ensuring deep knowledge of local legislation, tax laws, and compliance standards.
• Monitor and assess upcoming regulatory changes by collaborating with the Compliance Alerts team and industry associations.
• Partner with the Product Development team to influence the product roadmap and ensure country-specific functionality is up to date.
• Maintain and update country workbooks with new legislative requirements and compliance changes.
• Analyze existing payroll procedures and recommend improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and minimize manual processes.
• Drive the evolution of the Strada Pay platform by enhancing functionality, cost-effectiveness, and user experience for the local market.
• Provide strategic input to project teams during client deployments to ensure smooth transitions into operational use.
• Support pre-sales activities by showcasing platform capabilities and sharing best practices with prospective clients.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Australia and New Zealand payroll.
• Mandatory university graduation.
• Deep knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements within the AU & NZ region.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex topics into actionable insights.
• Highly detail-oriented and process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work proactively and independently within a fast-paced, global multidisciplinary team.
