Payroll Coordinator Level I

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll for approximately 1,500 employees using PeopleSoft
• Calculate pay for new hires and terminations
• Prepare manual checks and process garnishments, child support, and tax levy orders
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for compensation and taxes
• Partner with Human Resources to maintain compliance with company policies
• Run PeopleSoft queries to research and resolve payroll inquiries
• Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of previous payroll processing experience
• Ability to calculate various types of incentive pay
• Proficiency with MS Office and email
• Ability to work overtime and travel overnight if required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using PeopleSoft for payroll processing
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize responsibilities
