About the role
Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly payroll for approximately 1,500 employees using PeopleSoft
- Calculate pay for new hires and terminations
- Prepare manual checks and process garnishments, child support, and tax levy orders
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for compensation and taxes
- Partner with Human Resources to maintain compliance with company policies
- Run PeopleSoft queries to research and resolve payroll inquiries
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of previous payroll processing experience
- Ability to calculate various types of incentive pay
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
- Ability to work overtime and travel overnight if required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using PeopleSoft for payroll processing
- Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize responsibilities
