About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end monthly payroll processing for Malaysia and assigned regional markets
  • Validate all payroll inputs including joiners, exits, allowances, incentives, claims, attendance, and deductions
  • Manage statutory submissions and compliance including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and income tax
  • Perform payroll checks, reconciliations, and validations prior to payout
  • Process salary adjustments, promotions, bonuses, and ad-hoc payments
  • Coordinate and manage payroll vendors, regional payroll partners, and EOR providers
  • Prepare payroll reports and documentation for HR, Finance, and management
  • Identify gaps in payroll workflows and support improvements in SOPs and automation

Requirements

  • Experience in payroll operations, preferably covering multi-country or regional payroll
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian payroll legislation and statutory requirements
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems, HRIS tools, and spreadsheets
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong coordination skills to work with HR, Finance, and external vendors
