About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day payroll activities, including preparation of checks, withholding deposits, and payroll accounting
- Process employee travel expense reports and garnishment requests
- Oversee weekly timekeeping functions to ensure accurate hours are booked into the accounting system
- Perform payroll system balancing, reconciliation, and general ledger account corrections
- Administer the company’s 401k plan and selected welfare benefit plans
- Coordinate sick leave programs and FMLA compliance, including tracking usage and communicating with management
- Process educational assistance requests, including tuition reimbursements and university invoices
- Assist government and independent auditors by providing necessary documentation and analytical schedules
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UKG payroll system
- Experience with SAP
