About the role

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees across multiple entities within a shared services environment
  • Maintain accurate payroll and HRIS records, including wage changes, new hires, terminations, and leave of absence
  • Manage the Time and Attendance system, ensuring accurate tracking of work hours, PTO, and overtime
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans, acting as a liaison with providers
  • Process ROEs and year-end tax documentation such as T4 and T4A slips
  • Generate and distribute time and attendance reports to managers and supervisors
  • Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries from employees and management while maintaining strict confidentiality

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant specialty
  • 1-2 years of successful experience in payroll and benefits administration
  • Proficiency in Ceridian Powerpay and Dayforce workforce management software
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work onsite in Surrey, BC

  • Experience working within a shared services environment
