Payroll and Financial Administrator

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and reconcile payroll distribution
• Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related enquiries and troubleshooting
• Prepare and process journal entries and enter personnel information into HRIS
• Monitor departmental budgets to ensure expenditures remain within allocated limits
• Generate standard financial reports and identify/resolve financial discrepancies
• Verify that HRIS transactions comply with policies, collective agreements, and legislative requirements
• Liaise with internal contacts to resolve accounting, payroll, and HRIS processing issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in finance/accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of three years of related financial management experience, including budget monitoring
• Proven experience in payroll processing and resolving discrepancies
• Experience classifying and processing invoices using FIS or equivalent systems
• Proficiency with FIS, HRIS, and RIS (or equivalent) systems
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex financial procedures
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills
