Payroll Administrator

Responsibilities

• Process payroll-related data including salaries, holiday pay, overtime, deductions, and adjustments
• Utilize Excel to develop and maintain payroll spreadsheets using formulas and data manipulation
• Perform accurate and timely payroll data entry to ensure information integrity
• Review payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to submission
• Ensure all processing complies with company policies, contractual terms, and statutory requirements
• Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll queries
• Support payroll reconciliation and assist with reporting for finance and management
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and payroll information
• Perform various administrative duties, including updating absence and HR trackers

Requirements

• Proven experience in payroll administration or a payroll-focused accounts role
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis
• Solid understanding of payroll processes, statutory deductions, and compliance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work onsite in Orsett, Essex, 5 days a week
