Payroll Administrator

Responsibilities

• Own payroll tax compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions
• Manage tax registrations, account setups, and jurisdiction maintenance
• Coordinate payroll tax filings and payments to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Monitor, research, and resolve tax notices and discrepancies with agencies and third-party providers
• Support quarter-end and year-end tax reporting activities, including 941s and W-2s
• Manage file feeds to and from third-party vendors such as 401(k), ESPP, and benefits providers
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external payroll audits
• Process payroll-related accounts payable transactions, including vendor and tax payments
• Partner with HR, Accounting, and Payroll teams to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency

Requirements

• 3+ years of payroll, payroll tax, or related accounting/HR operations experience
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
• Experience with multi-state payroll environments
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems preferred
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to manage and analyze complex data
• Experience working in a SOX-controlled environment preferred
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
