Payments & Risk Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely enforcement of non-payments and ensure members remain in good standing
• Define and run processes for collections, billing exceptions, disputes, chargebacks, and payment plans
• Oversee operational processes such as credit checking and identity verification
• Partner with Finance and Compliance to define and maintain business processes, policies, and controls
• Create and maintain reporting to monitor operational KPIs across the payments and risk lifecycle

Requirements

• 5-10+ years of experience in billing, payments, or risk management
• Experience in energy, utilities, fintech, or a similarly regulated consumer industry
• Ability to define high-level strategy and execute day-to-day operational work
• Proficiency in managing and optimizing operational queues
• Strong data-driven decision-making and detail orientation
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and compliance
