Payments Performance & Optimization Specialist

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end operational health of key payment partners in Mexico, focusing on Cards and Alternative Payment Methods
• Monitor and analyze KPIs such as approval rates, latency, transaction quality, and settlement accuracy
• Act as the main technical interface between EBANX and partner technical teams for integrations and troubleshooting
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and implement improvements in payment flows, routing logic, and retries
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes with partners and internal teams
• Define, track, and own key operational KPIs and build automated dashboards
• Translate operational data into actionable insights for Product, Finance, and Commercial teams
• Lead the creation and presentation of the BEAT (Benchmark, Evaluation, Action, Tracking) report for senior leadership

Requirements

• Strong experience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services
• Solid analytical and technical background with experience in SQL, Excel, or BI tools
• Experience monitoring and improving KPIs and operational performance
• Ability to work closely with Engineering and Product teams regarding APIs
• Strong problem-solving skills in complex environments
• Experience working with cross-functional and global teams
• Advanced English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics applied to payments
• Knowledge of payment optimization strategies like authorization, routing, and tokenization
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
• Background in automation or scripting with Python
• Experience in relationship management with acquirers, issuers, and payment schemes
