Payments Operations Analyst

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to ensure credential readiness aligns with integration timelines
• Serve as the primary point of contact between payment gateways, merchants, and internal teams to manage the end-to-end collection and validation of production credentials
• Proactively identify and resolve onboarding blockers through relentless follow-up and real-time tracking
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with gateway and merchant counterparts to drive operational reliability
• Audit onboarding workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to reduce turnaround time
• Own dashboards, KPIs, and reporting cadences to provide visibility into business health and operational performance

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in payments operations, merchant onboarding, or a coordination-heavy role within fintech or financial services
• Fluent English communication skills with strong written and verbal abilities
• Solid understanding of payment gateway ecosystems, production credentials, and technical onboarding lifecycles
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with high accuracy and urgency
• Highly organized with experience building trackers, status reports, and operational documentation
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and drive blockers to resolution

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with API-based payment integrations and technical gateway configuration
• Experience with merchant onboarding at scale across multiple markets or regions
• Background in a fast-scaling fintech or high-growth tech startup
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira or Notion
• Strong commercial awareness regarding the impact of operations on merchant experience
