Payments Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee and improve daily payment operations, managing queues to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for payment-related incidents, leading resolution and conducting root cause analysis.
• Develop, document, and implement robust, compliant, and scalable operational processes for hyper-growth.
• Lead critical payment-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Analyze operational data and payment metrics to identify trends and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Risk teams to enhance infrastructure and mitigate operational risks.
• Contribute to the development of strategies to prevent fraud and financial crime.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of payments experience within top financial services or Fintech environments.
• Proven experience in team management and leading payment operation projects.
• Strong understanding of cross-border payment systems, multi-currency processes, and FX operations.
• Experience with incident management principles in a real-time payments context.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, specifically SQL and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with card processing or safeguarding.
