Payments Administrator

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing wire payments using the Bank's SWIFT application systems in accordance with established policies.
• Monitor daily wireroom activities, flag SWIFT messages requiring action, and notify management.
• Create funding memos for domestic and foreign currency remittances to inform Treasury of flows.
• Perform end-of-day transaction proofing, checks, and reconciliation of processed transactions.
• Manage deposit account activities, including opening, maintaining, and closing accounts, as well as processing cheques and AFTs.
• Notify the Front Office and customers regarding the receipt of incoming remittances.
• Perform compliance and risk assessments to ensure strict adherence to AML and Risk guidelines.
• Review and repair messages within the FINTRAC reporting system and escalate sanction or AML risks to management.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new projects and products.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Accounting, Banking, or Finance.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Banking, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of AML and Risk guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
