Payment Specialist

Responsibilities

• Process payments for approved invoices, including preparing payment proposals and managing payment holds.
• Investigate and resolve complex payment issues and troubleshoot rejected or returned payments.
• Perform daily and monthly balancing, bank reconciliation, and month-end close activities.
• Support vendor master data management to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• Assist the Global Payment Manager in leading daily payment operations and supporting manual payment activities.
• Create cash flow forecasts for Treasury and other business functions.
• Identify and implement solutions for continuous process improvement and system enhancements.
• Adhere to documented payment controls and internal audit requirements.

Requirements

• Detailed understanding of Procure to Pay (P2P) processes, systems, and policies.
• Functional knowledge in master data management strategies and tactics.
• Experience in global governmental tax reporting requirements for vendors.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
• Understanding of internal control elements and risk assessment.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage with key stakeholders.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a highly organized manner.
