Payment Specialist

Responsibilities

• Post customer payments to respective accounts and batch payments for the cash application process
• Apply and reconcile payments using supporting details based on established guidelines
• Proactively match invoices to payments to minimize the aging of receivables
• Identify and correct delayed or incorrectly posted payments
• Maintain and monitor daily logs of receipts and unapplied payments
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Balance required bank accounts daily
• Achieve daily and monthly productivity expectations

Requirements

• One year of experience in accounts receivable, payment applications, customer service, or accounting
• Proficiency in computer use and 10-key typing
• Strong data entry aptitude and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-resolution skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
