Payment Processor

Responsibilities

• Process payments via outbound and inbound calls using specialized software
• Contact vendors via phone and email to resolve outstanding or incomplete payments
• Resolve complex payment issues, including misapplied transactions or difficult-to-complete requests
• Use critical thinking to reconcile payments and determine when to reissue or refund
• Collaborate with Support, Client Success, and Operations teams to improve workflows
• Support new hire training through mentoring and side-by-side sessions
• Identify payment processing trends to mitigate risk and improve efficiency

Requirements

• High school diploma (some college preferred)
• 2+ years of customer service and client support experience
• 2+ years of successful experience in payment processing (required for Level II)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work onsite in Richmond, VA
