Payment Processing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support Hawaii Medicaid Banking operations by ensuring accurate and timely distribution of payments to healthcare providers
• Serve as a primary contact for provider and client inquiries regarding missing checks, EFTs, and stop payments
• Reconcile the Hawaii Medicaid Disbursement Account and maintain balanced financial records
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation and balancing reports
• Process financial transactions including refunds, returned payments, and IRS levies
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies with high accuracy and detailed documentation
• Maintain payment tracking tools, logs, and audit documentation to ensure compliance

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, banking, payment processing, or administrative support
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
• Strong data entry and documentation skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to pass a typing assessment (minimum 40 WPM)
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to submit to a pre-employment screening
