Payment Officer

Responsibilities

• Process and verify incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external policies
• Maintain and update transaction records in financial systems for audit readiness
• Liaise with banks, clearing houses, and financial institutions to resolve processing issues
• Assist in the reconciliation of payment accounts and identify discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve operational efficiency and payment processes
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and reduce risk

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role within the financial sector, ideally in FX or banking
• Strong numerical skills with a meticulous eye for detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in the Greek language
