About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end operational interface between Chase and major card networks (Visa/Mastercard) for the Issuing business.
  • Manage day-to-day operational engagement with network counterparts and foster cross-team cooperation.
  • Oversee network portal operations, access governance, and issuer identifier governance (e.g., BIN setup/maintenance).
  • Drive operational readiness for network changes, including rule updates, releases, and certifications.
  • Run issuer-facing network compliance program workflows, including intake, evidence gathering, and dispute coordination.
  • Maintain a strong control framework, implementing internal controls to ensure compliance with network requirements and internal policies.
  • Support audits, scorecards, and performance reporting with executive-ready updates.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in issuer card payments within a financial institution, card network, or processor.
  • Deep understanding of card network economics, business models, and the acquiring/issuing landscape.
  • Familiarity with control design concepts and operational risk practices applied to payments operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Experience ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a major card network (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover).
  • Experience with network compliance program penalties, fines validation, and dispute/appeal processes.
