Payloads Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead high-performing engineering teams in the development of cabin interior solutions for commercial airplane products
• Manage employees performing mechanical and structural engineering activities
• Provide oversight for complex projects, integrating supplier needs, engineering teams, production systems, and regulations
• Develop and execute project plans, implement policies, and set operational goals
• Acquire resources for projects and provide technical management of suppliers
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners
• Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and processes
• Manage, develop, and motivate employees while prioritizing safety and quality

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences)
• 5+ years of experience in an engineering-related role
• At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, or large-scale cross-functional project management)

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain knowledge of aerospace cabin and cargo products
• Experience leading design engineering teams within an aerospace statement of work
• Experience with commercial aircraft certification processes and regulations
• Proficiency in solving complex problems and managing project schedules
• Experience working across the value stream, including design, supplier production, and fleet support
• Demonstrated ability in team building, mentoring, and coaching
