Requirements
5+ years leadership in ski patrol or mountain ops, OEC or EMT certification, AHA CPR certification, High school diploma or equivalent
About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead day to day Ski Patrol operations to ensure safe and efficient mountain operations
- Direct mountain response to incidents, emergencies, and changing conditions
- Oversee snow safety operations, avalanche mitigation, and hazard management
- Lead lift evacuation planning, training, and execution
- Manage recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance management for the patrol team
- Ensure compliance with the Ski Patrol collective bargaining agreement
- Manage departmental budgets and payroll administration
- Partner with local, state, and federal agencies for incident coordination
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in ski patrol, mountain operations, or emergency services
- Current Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Ability to work in adverse weather and physically demanding environments
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Deep understanding of the Ski Area Skier Safety Act
- Experience working within a collective bargaining agreement environment
