Patient Services Officer

Responsibilities

• Process patient attendance in the Emergency Department and subsequent hospital admissions using the Patient Management System
• Manage patient admissions, invoicing, and the collection of out-of-pocket costs
• Provide a high-quality, welcoming reception experience for patients, visitors, clinicians, and staff
• Create cost estimates and complete accurate health fund checks
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all hospital stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery and administrative processes

Requirements

• Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster, including night duty
• Strong customer service skills with a prompt and courteous manner
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks
• Strong computer literacy and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous administration experience in the healthcare, medical, or health fund industry
• Experience with Private Health Insurance processes related to hospital admissions
