Patient Services Intermediate

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical, scheduling, and Reading Room Coordinator services in an outpatient radiology setting
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Utilize Radiology Information Systems (Radiant) to enter patient, study, and physician information
• Manage digital processes including image archiving, PACS, and troubleshooting printer issues
• Coordinate and schedule radiology procedures and act as a liaison between Radiology and other departments
• Answer incoming phone calls, triage requests, and accurately record messages
• Assist patients and families by checking their needs and promoting personal comfort
• Support clinical staff by assisting with patient preparation and mobility when required
• Manage inventory and maintain workspace cleanliness in compliance with TJC standards

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality regulations
• Proficiency in digital processes and information systems
• Experience or knowledge of Radiology Information Systems (RIS)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years of customer service experience within a healthcare setting
• Previous experience with MiChart, Radiant, PACS, or Sectra
• Experience in specific radiology modalities such as Orthopedics, US, X-ray, DEXA, or MR
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment
