About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service in an ambulatory setting
- Conduct patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Schedule appointments, tests, and consultations
- Verify and update patient information and records
- Obtain necessary referrals and prior authorizations
- Confirm patient charges and collect payments
- Manage and maintain In-Baskets in a timely manner
- Execute various clerical tasks for the front office
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of customer service experience
- Proficiency with computers and navigating multiple applications
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with MiChart or other Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
