About the role
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet patients and families, providing exceptional customer service and wayfinding assistance
- Act as a patient and family advocate by communicating needs to clinicians and staff
- Escort patients and family members to Pre-Operative, Recovery, or consultation areas
- Use software programs to ensure patients flow through the system in a timely and well-documented manner
- Provide clerical support, including fielding phone calls and routing communications
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance the patient experience
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a professional, respectful, and efficient environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in customer service
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of customer service experience in a hospital or surgical environment
- Knowledge of scheduling in MiChart (EPIC)
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and investigative skills
- Bachelor's Degree or comparable combination of experience and education
