About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and guests upon arrival, confirming identity and providing visit information
- Complete patient check-in and check-out functions
- Confirm and update patient identification, demographic, and insurance information
- Complete patient registration and obtain necessary consents and authorizations
- Collect co-payments, past due balances, and point of service payments
- Post payments, process billing information, and perform end-of-day cash drawer closing
- Schedule appointments and inform patients of any delays or changes in status
- Maintain a clean and comfortable waiting area
- Float to other Immediate Care Clinics or departments as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience in a customer service position
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual skills
